Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born on March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. Biles is thought to be one of the most talented gymnasts. at the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in the same Games and was also the first gymnast to win three consecutive all-around world championships (2013-15). Biles lived in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area after she and her sister Adria received adoption by parents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone first became interested in the sport of gymnastics at the age of six. Coach Aimee Borman took her to Bannon's Gymnastix in the area, where they were taken on a field trip. Biles won a gold in floor exercise and a bronze in vault during the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the elite levels of competing in 2011. Biles was a dominant athlete within a mere two years. Her consistency, her vivacious personality and the level of difficulty in her four events -- vault uneven bars, floor exercise, vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercises and floor exercise -- set her apart.
