Addison Rae has been a star on social media, being a singer and dancer for many years. The most well-known persona is for her lip-sync and dance videos she posts on her TikTok account, addisonre. Forbes magazine named Addison Rae the highest earning TikToker worldwide in August of 2020. Also, she is amongst the most popular TikTok followers. Addison Rae's fame on TikTok is extended into other platforms like Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. In 2021 she first made an appearance as a singer-songwriter with her first track "Obsessed". This single reached number 4 among New Zealand Hot Singles and the video was ranked 6th on YouTube on the day of its release. Addison Rae received nods in prestigious ceremonies including the People's Choice Awards MTV Movie & TV Awards as well as the Kids Choice Awards.
